Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (CCTS), Baghdad Amreyev.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of initiatives proposed by the Head of State N. Nazarbayev on structural reforms of Turkic cooperation organizations, the creation of a Turkic integration fund and a joint CCTS investment fund.

The discussion covered issues of cooperation between the Turkic-speaking states in the economic sphere, including investment cooperation, development of transport and logistics, the potential for creating joint ventures, improving competitiveness and the export potential of the CCTS member states.

“Within the framework of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States, it is necessary to intensify work on the economic agenda for interaction between Turkic-speaking states,” – A. Mamin said, stressing the great potential of cooperation in the fields of engineering, tourism, the agricultural sector, light industry, as well as the development of “simple things” .

B. Amreyev, in turn, informed about the meeting of the Heads of Customs Services of the CCTS, which was held in Astana in March of this year. In general, the issues of interaction of the customs services of the Council, compliance and implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the customs services of the Member States were considered.
